I pretty much buy everything on blu ray, and just wait for places like Amazon to have a 3 for 2 before getting less important movies. For example just got The Matrix Trilogy for £12 and Apocolypto for £6, not my favourite movies, heck not even seen Apocolypto, but can't complain at those prices

Although I still buy things like The Big Bang theory on DVD, I agree blu ray is not necessary for everything.
