I was more referring to, getting a Nexus One through Google, with the possibilities of taking it into Verizon to add service if I wanted.
So I guess it would be a locked phone? I don't know, just one that supports CMDA. Guess I would just need to buy the Verizon model off ebay and never put service on it. Still pay the $570 or whatever it is.

As far as Skype, I like it, just don't know anyone who uses Skype other than some family members. We only use it to video talk as well. I was just thinking Skype cause it is only $90/yr for phone Service, but recently remembered that I have a Google # and that = FREE.

Though, I would actually need an APP to use this phone over WIFI with my Google Number, and I don't think that they have an App for that yet? A Google Voice App. Can't place calls online with Voice like I thought you could. Just txt messages. The iPod doesn't have an App for Voice. So maybe I am back to Skype? Could use Skype on the Nexus. I hate the fact that my iPod can't Multitask, especially when the Verizon Droid has pretty much the same hardware and can.

Basically have 2 Cell phones, and we are just added to others plans. One phone, we may need to start paying for, so am just looking for ways to save $$ but still have that second phone.
