So, you don't think the Governmental organisations should get some money back for old equipment, thereby lowering demand on your taxes for running the organisation?

Personally, I'd prefer a 'Firefly'!

This is a special case....these machines have been in service nearly 30 years. It's not like they are selling a 2 year old 4x4. They have definitely had their money's worth.

Fair enough to charge a private individual but museums shouldn't have to buy back what they technically already paid for in the first place (by 'they' I mean the American taxpayer.
