Did you consider this before suggesting it?

Where would the light beam go? Perpendicular to the tracks? How far apart do you make them?

Parallel to the tracks? What is so ******* throws garbage down there?

Perpendicular wouldn't work, it wouldn't cover enough area. A cross beam at an angle could increase coverage.

I can think of a few different ways to plan it. Perfect solution? No, there are problems with each methods I thought of. There are even problems with using object detection like the camera system they have in place.

I'm not saying its THE solution. Just a possible solution with some work.

Whats with the expletive? You know its going to get blocked by the filters.
