Go back to that Verizon store, talk to that same exact lady, shove the phone in her face, and demand a discount on your bill or a free accessory (just something) or you will do everything that you can possibly do to get her fired.
Would ask why Walmart could give you the phone and ring you up in less than 5 minutes, but not a corporate store.
Tell her straight up.
That is complete BS that she did that.
Should have asked for the fine print on the "legalness" for her not selling you the phone. You buy the phone, pay what $400 for it?, and have them swap phones. Done. Everyone does this! Hell, even cancel your current plan if you need to, pay the fee, and get a new plan. There is ALWAYS a way around.
When people do that BS, I don't let them get away with it. With how the economy is, it is easy peasy for these companies to find replacements, and better ones at that too. People need to be careful about their jobs in an economy like this, and they need to know that they are expendable.
I hate sales pricks like that.
