My memory of this is rather vague but iirc CPS can interview your children without your permission based on a "tip (usually BS)" of child abuse. We briefly covered CPS stuff in school but my best advice is to keep your cool and be as cooperative as possible. Yes it's absurd that someone is running their mouth but your best bet is to just show them your a good parent by being concerned.
