I just got this email from my school:

"On Tuesday, Oct. 20, LSU Career Services and the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business, in collaboration with Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation, or IRS-CI, will present an interactive training seminar offering a group of qualified students a unique opportunity to participate in a mock financial criminal investigation similar to those conducted by the Special Agents of IRS-CI. Participants will travel to multiple locations in official IRS-CI garb conducting investigations, executing search warrants, and even arresting mock perpetrators.

All students, faculty, and staff on campus on Tuesday should be aware that the students involved in the training seminar will be dressed in official IRS-CI attire, including jackets and bullet-proof vests while executing mock raids and arrests on campus.

The University would like to stress that these students are ONLY participating in a seminar, and that there is no actual danger or cause for alarm."

Why would they go around on full "swat-like" uniforms, pretending to arrest people in front of everyone? And all of this so they can train people on investigating white-collar crimes?
