Yeah I was playing against my cousin for a bit. I don't have fancy clubs, but I bought a $500 set with cart and bag. When you're an amature, the type of clubs don't improve your game by much. I got myself some golf shoes this year, but I've only worn them once.

I wouldn't mind playing more games. The problem is when I don't play golf all the time I have to spend more money down the range getting my shot back in order before I can play another game. My shots go very bad, and need about 2-3 sessions at a range to iron out things out.
