Do you know whether he has the latest update? We have to use a BB Storm as our on call phone at work. I absolutely hate the keyboard but I have heard the latest update really improves the phone. I'm a bit hesitant to install it though in case I brick the on call phone. It's a pros vs cons thing. lol

The update is a must. It makes the phone so stable and yes my co-worker has it. Storm 2 is coming out in a week or two... I havent read about it but I have a co-worker who is going to purchase one at release. I'll see how that is, I heard way back that its just a faster (spec wise) storm 1.
Typing on my co-workers storm 1 is great IMO. I got used to the iPhones keybaord when in landscape mode but it would always slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow down and lag and then type everything at once after a pause.
