Coraline is stunning to look at, full screen (16:9) and has a 3D (red/blue glasses) copy in there too but as a movie I'm not sure it'd be your thing.

As the guys have said - any Pixar movie is a must have, the razor sharp 'Cars', A Bug's Life or the softer, subtler but equally impressive Wall-E and Ratatouille are a good start.
