I totally agree that it sucks for those who went to look at it.. BUT Neeyik has a point. I really can't see the American's passing off a piece of petrified wood as moonrock. In all likelyhood it was real at one point but the original has long since been replaced. Still though I bet this is going to cause them a bit of a embarrassment regardless and they will land up making it up to the Dutch people.
yeah thats the question tho .. where did it end up ??

this not only happens with moon rock, sometimes even paintings at museums can turn out to be fakes.

i wonder who made money out of this tho.
