You shouldn't really use rechargable batteries in things like remote controls. The reason is things like remotes use very little power and then only very infrequently; all the time you're not using a rechargeable battery it's slowly discharging itself, so it's better to use single use batteries for such uses.
Yeah.. typically nimh has very low battery capacity (pretty fast discharge).

But new rechargable nimh batts are much better, as im using them now, and they do have much higher battery capacity (very low discharge aka stays recharged much longer than normal nimh batts) meaning u can use much longer than typical nimh.
