If people are going to drive a truck, surely they should be filling up at 'truck stops'? I know THEY sell diesel.

A pickup truck and a truck (semi) are two entirely different things. You don't take a pickup truck to a truck stop.

Most normal gas stations in my area have at least one diesel pump. Diesel is pretty common with the bigger pickup trucks.

My pickup runs on regular gas. Diesel costs more and smells, plus I live in a cold climate.
