I read more into their fine print and such. Plain and simple.. it's a scam. It's a giant MLM Pyramid scheme where you make money by recruiting new people. Rather than finding some poor schmuck to sell phone service to you won't make money unless you find a guy who wants to buy a $500 starter kit. Residual income? Pennies on the customer. Cold calling? NO. They specifically prohibit cold calling and they can boot you out and not pay you if they catch you doing it. They'll keep the customers obviously. Too much BS in their rules. There's no enough sales freedom and income potential unless you're doing what your buddy was doing and sell the $500 kit to people. You don't even really get sales crap until you get to the "bonus" level, which means you can't even profit until you sell the $500 kit to people. The more I read the less I like them. Once you dig beyond the surface it's a lead brick with gold paint. If I had sales freedom I could dig through tariffs and sell products to customers at a decent profit margin.. but they don't run like that. My understanding is you sell their products, at their prices, and receive a pitiful commission until you get to a certain RVP level or some crap (by selling $500 kits) and then you get bonuses for selling stuff. If I read it right you don't get bonuses on sales until you're a "TC". A TC requries "3" people to buy their $500 kit and then EACH of those 3 people has to collect "200 points". So you have to get 3 guys to EACH make like 100 sales per, and then you get to earn money or something. ****'s convoluted and crappy. It all hinges on your ability to recruit people into ACN, not your ability to sell to people. It's just plain retarded. Rent a nice car, find a guy with a plane who is willing to work for a cut, and then line up suckers to recruit into "the company". I think you do get some commission as a newbie, but it's crap. I could be misreading it, but it looks like if you were to sell $2000 worth of contracted products you'd get 1% of that. So $20. So after you sell $50,000 you get back your $500.
