Long story short, I'm likely getting a new Mazda 3 2.2l 185ps at a really good price, like £2500 off retail. I test drove the thing and I think my spine ended up in the back seat when I put my foot down. [thumbup]

Problem is I'm torn. On the one hand the 5 door is more spacious in the rear and tends to have higher resale value in the UK. But I'm not struck on the back end design. I also feel the car seems stretched with the high hatch rear, makes it looks like a slightly shrunken estate.

On the other side I prefer the styling on the back end of the 4 door saloon, it looks more coupe'ish but I'm not sure if it looks too much like a rep's car. On another plus point it's pretty rare in the UK (about a 20-1 ratio in favour of the Hatch).
