From what I hear there are many drawbacks to trying to increase your PNG size.

Srsly tho, vectorize. And I've heard Paint.NET is meh. But I've never tried it... so.. it's just hearsay.

Paint.NET is a free program with often updates.

I am not graphic designer so, I use it for bar minimum.

One of the graphic designers at my job over here says that Paint.NET does not use vectors, but Inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org/) does and is also free.
