I believe it's a legal thing. As in if you help and something goes wrong then you have a lawsuit on your hands. That's why nobody can help anymore[thumbdown]

We have two different civil cases...Good Samaritan laws protect those who attempt to help (they can vary by state) and also, there is no duty to rescue either in the US.
