Oh, and when I was removing an old A64 processor from another of my old PCs my dog ran up behind me, knocked over the HSF with the processor still firmly attached by the thermal paste, and half the pins got bent. My dog is lucky I didn't actually want that PC.
I once destroyed an Athlon 1400 Thunderbird when I put the heat sink on the wrong way around. Crunch! Problem was I did want the PC it was a ****ing good chip at the time.

I still don't understand why they put that tiny bit of silicon on those chips without some decent protection. Unless it was to double their sales. LOL
