As EaG pointed out confronting her physically like that could potentially cause more harm. Tasers are the proper choice. Supposed to be use if the officer is threatened? What? Tasers are perfect for subduing people. They're nonlethal and harmless in most cases. He had to subdue her somehow, and using force would be far more likely to injure her than hitting her with a taser. Tasers are designed to subdue people. They cause a little pain, and loss of muscle coordination. IMO tasers should be used more often. Give them the option to comply, they refuse, pull out the taser and ask the question again. If they don't respond to being hit once by the taser then move to using force.
