Utterly crazy money to pay for one footballer. For an extra £20 million they could've bought Newcastle United!

How do football transactions work? Real Madrid is paying 80 million to Man Utd to have the rights to Ronaldo, but how does Ronaldo get paid/how is his salary determined?

That will be negotiated between himself and Real Madrid, but for comparison's sake he was on £150,000 a week at Manchester United. That is just basic wage as well, there is also goal bonus, win bonus, tournament win bonus etc on top of that so..... yeah he'll be on a lot of money.
