True, but perhaps I didn't make it clear enough that I literally had to turn the offer down a good 3-4 times before I gave my final response as to why I didn't want the extras. It was almost like she was arguing with me about it. "Sir, I just don't see why you wouldn't take the package, it's a great deal," "It's only a few more dollars," etc.
Yes, its called "overcoming objections" and its actually a part of the training. They literally have to ask you a certain set number of times before they are allowed to move on, or they are considered to have not done their jobs and can get in trouble.
