Cool stuff to know...big time Star Wars fan and always wanting to learn more about the origins.

Then when it comes to Japan you want to look at 'Hidden Fortress' by Kurosawa which was much more of an (acknowledged) influence than this Toho film was on Star Wars. In fact a number of Kurosawa's films influenced Lucas.
