I don't like this ending one bit, don't tell me he live happily ever after with all those zombie [thumbdown]
Considering that Neville found the cure, he would simply have to mass produce it and inject the "infected" with it. It really would be a happily ever after since there would likely be no more zombies

As for the comments about the book being better than the movie, I think you have to treat both as two separate entities. The movie was adapted to have more action (in the book, there were very long stretches of Neville doing mundane tasks throughout the day), and it was modernized to have parallels to today's society. Granted, it would be interesting to see Neville being executed by the refugees like it happened in the book (especially since Neville was ironically considered a monster due to his immunity), but I think the movie was more than decent enough without these additions. Other than the shoddy CGI (almost as bad as Van Helsing), I thought it was fairly solid.
