Also, smug PC and Mac users alike annoy me to the same extent why lower yourself to that level?

It wasn't, I recently bought a laptop and was wandering what the price was on that Mac Book. I was expecting something around the $1000 price range.

The MacBook (non-pro) is in that price range.
