Why is there a pic of Bowie and Jagger? Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I never read the graphic novel.

The comic follows events from the 40s through to the 80s, no doubt those characters are being used to help set the timeframe for the movie (lot of flashbacks through the comic that jump from one era to another).

There is one passage in the comic where one character goes on about the 'hippies of the sixties' spreading peace, love and other such un-American values.

Perhaps those characters tie into that feeling.
