This sounds silly, but I'm hesitant to read the graphic novel until after I see the movie, because I don't want it to spoil the plot

Is that stupid logic, or should I just read the damn thing now?

I'd read it. If anything the movie would spoil the comic

But it's much less about the "surprise" of what happens as much as the story itself. And undoubtedly the movie isn't going to nail it the same way the novel does.
