I never even heard of Watchmen until some promotional stuff for it popped up on the XBL marketplace before xmas. I thought it was a spoof superhero TV series they were advertising.

Still, it looks like i'm going to end up seeing it soon with some friends who are going, but i can't say i've been blown away by the trailers so far. It all looks a little..........tacky?

It's based on Time Magazine's 100 best novels of all time, so rest assured the subject material is top notch. I too thought the same thing until I read the graphic novel, and I must say I haven't looked forward to a movie this much in a long, long time.
