Uh oh. My most trusted critic has panned it! [shocked]

Now, I enjoyed the Watchmen novel more than Lane, but I have no faith in Snyder, and I fear even in the hands of a capable director translating it into a film that lives up to the novel's éclat for deconstructing popular culture is virtually an impossible undertaking.
He didn't enjoy Taken and Valkyrie, two recent movies I thoroughly enjoyed. Also, stating that "nobody over the age of 25 will enjoy the savagery on screen" makes me think that he didn't understand the movie 300, of which was completely bad ass. I'll wait until I see the movie to reserve judgment.
