Yeah they come along the Queensland coast once in a while. Or there's a lot of rain and wind from ones that stay offshore. Larry came along just a little less than 3 years ago:

That was further North, which is more typical. Back in the 70's one came far enough South that Brisbane (capital city) was flooded.
