I'm afraid I have a different idea of "justice" from you. To me "justice" is where someone accused of a crime is put on trial, evidence is presented, and based on that evidence the accused is either acquitted or convicted and if so a suitable punishment is applied.
That is all fine and dandy, but what do you do while the guy is in your house? Sit there and take it?

I agree that there are procedures in place, but you can't be a doormat. Sometimes you need to take things into your own hands until the proper people are there to help.
