I didn't even know you could dislocate a rib, shows how much i know! It really sucks that there are some amazing things we have achieved in the world of technology and medicine, yet sometimes it's the simplest of things we can't fix.

I fractured my big toe in september, but it was an awkward fracture that went into the joint. They looked at the X-Ray and said normally they would try to fix that type of injury but the fractured part was still in place so it's best to just leave it to heal naturally. So there's me feeling quite glad that i wouldn't need surgery or anything when the nurse turned to me and said "Oh, but you won't be able to bend that toe ever again" in such a nonchalant tone as though it was nothing!

Now i know there are people out there with far worse situations out there, but to be told i will never be able to move my big toe ever again just seemed so ridicolous to me considering some of the things we can do.
