Burning Hydrogen is just as internal combustrion very innefficent because a lot of the energy gets lost in the form of heat. +20% on the low efficency of IC is still not much and you do not eliminate the vibration or the cooling demands either. It's a waste of time and resources to invest in such a stopgap solution.


Batteries are fine for the environment if they get properly recycled.
