We don't want to set a precedence here. Imagine if he was awarded damages for his kidney. What would that do to transplants in America? We'd have lawsuits for all of them. So his marriage didn't work out, he apparently did something wrong. According to the article, she cheated on him after the operation. Now if she were cheating during the time frame of the operation I think this would be different, but just because she got a kidney from him, is she now stuck with the guy for the rest of her life even if the marriage isn't working out?
