Yes it's a joke and no there is no replacement coming any time soon. Most televisions can't even make the most of BluRay as it is, let alone something that is of even higher quality.

Well, currently they send most series in HDTV which I think is pretty high for being standard altough I agree about, I think it will take a hell of a time before BluRay becomes completely mainstream.
