Is it not covered on your car insurance, just a thought
I wouldn't even bother with that.

I would learn from this and get the glass replaced,he may loose a no claim's bonus through a "no fault" claim and its not worth doing that for a 200 quid item and his own Naivety/
stupidity

I don't leave anything in my car.
