People need to get over the fact that there are others on the planet who choose to smoke. One whiff of cigarette smoke isn't going to kill you and sitting near someone who smells bad, regardless of what that particular smell may be, also isn't going to kill you. This is not a public health issue as much as it is some babies crying.

I'm all for forbidding smoking indoors. Cigarette smoke is much more than just a nuisance indoors and for people with continuing, long term exposure it is a proven health issue. Outdoors, though, get over it. Joe Public is breathing in particulate matter spewing out of cars and trucks, stuffing his face with potato chips and pizzas, burning his skin under the sun, drinking liquor, eating an all sugar diet and who knows what else but it's those couple of cigarette smoke molecules that'll do it, right?

It's ridiculous the way people expect everything to be done for them by nanny state governments that pile regulations on top of mandates on top of by-laws on top of statues and wonder why nobody can figure anything out, why it takes a million people file all the paperwork and why they're always running deficits.
