for the fuel, just get the lowest octane rating your car reccomends. Anything higher is just a waste of money

Higher octane rating = more power and less fuel consumption.
Especially in modern turbocharged cars difference migh be as high as 20-30HP between 95 and 98...

And from my own experiences it costs about the same to drive with 98 as it does with 95...
