I just started in the spring with some friends of mine. Got a Valkyrie for distance, Shark for the mid range, and Rhyno for putt and approach. I have used the beast too and didn't really like it so I got the Valkyrie, and its been a great disc, you should try one out if you can.

I only have one local course to play on and its very wooded and technical. Here is a link to the PDGA site for it http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=1981

I also got to play a few different courses in Charleston, SC when I was living there over the past few months, they have some pretty nice courses.

I did manage to get 6 under par on my second time playing, almost beating the friend that introduced me to the sport.
