I would have figured those to be just power strips. I know that they sell them for super cheap, but aren't actual surge protectors. Surge protectors that I know of that are any decent are nice fatty ones. I have had a few things ruined on those slim jims.

The newer one is about $20 for the current model, mine is the previous discontinued model compared to this one. http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/def...spx?EDC=291101

The other one is several years old but was rated at 2000 then.

Don't have to be fatty big protectors any more. Several slim protectors out now.
