I would have figured those to be just power strips. I know that they sell them for super cheap, but aren't actual surge protectors. Surge protectors that I know of that are any decent are nice fatty ones. I have had a few things ruined on those slim jims.

The other one is several years old but was rated at 2000 then. Don't have to be fatty big protectors any more. Several slim protectors out now. Not perfect, but decent protection for the price.
