What size sailboat do you think would be necessary to be called seaworthy?
Well if it floats it's sea worthy.
If you mean like in rough seas and stuff, a small Laser1 would not be advisable[rofl]
IIRC, the 470 is the Olympic sailing boat (4.7m) and they can stand up to some rough seas. It all comes down to the sailor really. If they know how to handle the boat, they should be fine in all kinds of conditions.
I personally wouldn't take out anything smaller than a 420 into choppy seas. A lake is different, but the sea is unforgiving! [help]
