, by far I get the happiest feeling when I watch that movie, even though by the end any Firefly fan should be deeply hurt from what happens. I always get a super big smile on my face though and I just hang on each and every word and action and I kind of feel like I'm lucky to be part of something (the fans) that count that movie as their favorite. It's got to be something to do with it being totally awesome but also the whole coming back from the dead when no one said it could happen.
Some of the asian horror movies that I've watched with my friend have always left me feeling just awesome but that partly is because I'm watching them with a great friend, part because we're both into the movie so freaking much, and probably partly because since it is all subtitles you feel slightly disconnected from it, like you never really know just what the hell is going on. I think that's why when they make the jump to a Hollywood version they just don't have the same kick, the whole time you are so comfortable and can watch it with a weaker focus that you always know at some level it's just a movie and something is going to happen. When focusing on the subtitles and not being able to recognize anything vocal besides screams and the sound effects you kind of tune in more to the eerie sound or footsteps or something.
