I lived with roomates a few years ago and those were the worst years of my life.

It was me and my girlfriend(at the time) and her sister and her sister's boyfriend.

They would complain about EVERYTHING!!! They were guilty of everything they complained about as well...

She used to come home at 12:30 and bitch about clean dishes in the dishwasher. She used to take everything out and slam it into the cabinets. The whole time she didn't realize that the dishes would finish cleaning after we went to sleep....IDIOT!!!

See how much of a rant I had and it's not even about me? lol

Ok, so here is your solution:

You go up there and ask her what her problem is. Ask her what she hears and why it bothers her so much. Tell her you will try to keep it down during the week and that she doesn't have to bang on the floor EVERY time you make a peep. Tell her you try your best but once in a while she WILL hear something. Tell her she has you at the point where you feel like you have to control your breathing so it's not too loud for her. Explain to her that when you are loud, you realise it and you don't need her to let you know.

Also tell her if she wants you can bang on the ceiling everytime SHE is loud.

Then tell her you will try to be reasonable on the weekends but it's also TOO ****ING BAD if you are a bit loud over the weekend.

When she stomps on the floor over the weekend turn up your stereo really loud...I mean maxed out until around 11:00 then turn it off

You could also threaten to break her legs....

...seriously though, try to be calm and collective when you confront her. People easily get into "wars" when it comes to living situations.
