It could be yea. The first one they just send out hoping theres 0 dead pixels, but the extra covers additional carriage if required and then someone does pixel check (mine now has a sticker on the back saying who has checked it)

It definatly goes like that, because there are so little dead pixels nowadays they make a heap of cash on those checks because the manufacturers (except Viewsonic) refuse to stop them with covering dead pixels in the warranty.


of course, the ultimate error you can make is order without a check from a site with checks
