I think you'd be surprised by the amount of automatics on the road in the UK. A lot of the exec/luxury barges are equipped with autos either semi or fully auto. I personally drive an auto and quite honestly I would never buy an auto again, they're so uninvolving and boring to drive. It's only a 4speed auto and on a 2.8 v6 engine it sux, not to mention torque steer and wheelspinning in the wet if you're not careful, truly awful.
