I used to get mad about the drivers in new york the 20 years I lived there - then I moved to Spain and people here make the cabbies in NYC look like they drive popemobiles.

Just yesterday I was crossing in a crosswalk, carrying a puppy, light was red for like 15 seconds already - & this dumb spaniard in a beemer slows down like he might stop - veers into the lane I was crossing into and floors it through the red light - about a half a foot in front of me - but that's a normal thing - I'd say only 1/3 of drivers here stop for red lights - and 95% don't know what a speed limit is, and most ALL are drunk. It's the cops fault really - they are just garbagemen who don't work & only flirt with girls on the beach all day - and the corruption here because of it is worse than pre-fidel cuba. (even when buying a house you only declare 30% or - of its value, and developers paying off officials to get building permits - its crazy) - The mayor of my town has always just been a government employee - has 150 horses, stuffed elefants next to his driveway - freakin' tigers and a porche collection to challenge Jerry Seinfield - he's only a mayor - nothing big before hand. But here is where the wife and the kid are .. Nevermind the way people here parallel park - all of em' - it's like watching a mr. Bean movie. - Don't get me wrong - you might get a speeding ticket in the costa del sol - but it'll only ever be from a camera - which slows nobody down till 2-6 months later - maybe.
