What email program does it use? Can you set it up to receive POP mail? Have you felt short-changed at any time not having Flash?

Yes you can setup POP and IMAP all on one pretty clever email app - if you get one at an Apple Store they'll set it all up before you leave the store as well as setup a cloud account as both a backup and and a place to store files (which is great if you're gonna get something else later on down the road - you don't have put everything back on it again manually it'll get done automatically...there're apps out there that'll convert Flash media so it hasn't really been a problem so the answer is no...not short changed at all.

Although my wife has whined a bit about not being able to use Flash on her iPad at the rate she wants too (one of the classes she teaches uses Blackboard and Flash content consecutively)...a file here and there though and it's not a problem.
