Factor in the resources used to bottle it, transport it and the fact that the majority of the empty bottles end up in our landfills.

Pretty big environmental footprint for a product that doesnt serve much purpose.
I dont care how much room it takes. And as was mentioned by another poster, more people drink water now, and not pop. Which takes up as much or more room.

Doesnt serve much purpose? Water is much, much better for you than soda, beer, and especially energy drinks which are all the craze right now.
