From choking to death! No joking, I'm bloody serious! My missus had stated when I got home from work that she did'nt fancy cooking earlier tonight, so we decided to get a "take out". So my Daughter and I had a Doner Kebab (A rare treat for us both, as we normally eat healthy food), And my wife got a Steak bap and chips. We got home and were just starting to tuck into the food, when my wife started to choke and gasp for breath, she very quickly "went white as a sheet", and was gasping, I grabbed her and tried to perform the "Heimlich Manoeuvre". I tried about 3 times, while we were seated on the sofa, then She dropped to her knee's on the floor and I hit her on the back several times to try and dislodge whatever was stuck, Then after that, and seeing her turn blue, I forced my fingers down her throat and on the second try she puked up a piece of steak about one inch long. I saw my life flash in front of my eyes as she choked and I swear she was literally seconds from choking to death, I've never been so scared in all my life. She's now in bed, but she has some nasty bruising on the front and back due to my frantic pummelling cos I was shitting myself and panicing like f*ck. She's in a bit of pain so I've just phoned the local hospital to ask for advice in case my frantic squeezing and back slaps could have caused any internal injuries, But they stated that if she was still in pain tomorrow, to bring her in for a check up. In hindsight, It seems crazy that the local chip shop would sell a 6oz steak on a bap when the chances of you choking on it must be quite high, As its not exactly as tender as a good Sirloin, my wife has a good set of teeth too. My wife has vowed only to eat steak with a knife and fork in future, I can't see her breaking that promise. Its not looking too promising for next Thursday either, because a week ago she was about a second away from getting killed in a car crash, as the car she was in was pulling out of a junction and a "blind" woman driver doing 60mph proceeded to rip off the front passenger side of the car, A second earlier and the car would have hit the passenger door and probably crushed my wife to death. Safer if she stays in bed next thursday, surrounded by pillows.
