Well my advice is I'm assuming your next uni year will start in September, so I'd wait till closer to then as prices will fall.

If you can't wait then I'd also say that you'll struggle to get better spec than rock for the price tbh, also a desktop replacement won't be portable atall lol, I bought an Acer 5633 last year that apparently weighed 2.9kg and that was a pain in the ass to carry around, and I'm not a small/weak guy atall.
